Tom Miller, Associate Pastor

Tom Miller joined the pastoral staff in January, 2004 to oversee the construction of our current church campus and to serve as Associate Pastor. 

After attending the University of California-San Mateo, University of California-Chico and Liberty University's Bible Institute in Virginia, Tom pastored two Baptist churches during his 22 years in Texas. He also spent five years in former Czechoslovakia planting a church in the city of Nove Mesto and establishing a gospel literature printing ministry.Tom earned a Bachelor's degree in Biblical Studies from Louisiana Baptist University and is presently working to complete a M.S. degree in Biblical Counseling.

Tom and his wife, Rebecca, have three daughters: Esther, Rachel, and Sarah as well as seven wonderful grandchildren.

Wayne Sutphin, Music Director

Wayne Sutphin joined Pinecrest Baptist Church as Music Director in September, 1999.  A graduate of Baptist University of America, Wayne has been involved in local church music ministry for over 30 years.  He still believes in the power of a church choir to lead a congregation to the throne of God and inspire them to worship.

While serving at Pinecrest, Wayne has led the adult choir to perform in the Southern Crescent Passion Play, recorded a CD of our church choir, special groups and soloists, and has hosted several nationally-known Christian groups to perform concerts for our church.  In 2003 he had the awesome privilege to sing to a million people in a huge crusade in Manila, Philippines.

Wayne and his wife Ann, also an accomplished soloist, are parents to seven children and currently have nine grandchildren.

Tommy Stone, Associate Pastor/Youth

Tommy Stone joined the Pinecrest pastoral staff in early 2005 as the Associate Pastor of Youth. He leads the children and youth ministries of Pinecrest, following God's call on his life to work with young people.

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, and a graduate of Baptist University of America, Tommy accepted Christ as his Saviour at a summer youth camp at 15, and surrendered to preach at the age of 16. His work with youth began in 1982. Throughout his ministry, he has led youth choirs, summer camps, winter retreats, Vacation Bible School, various children’s ministries, and taken numerous teen missions trips. Pinecrest's youth group continues to grow in number and mature in the Lord under Tommy's leadership.

Tommy and his wife, Donna, have four children: T.J., Amber, Lauren and Tyler.

Todd Wentz, Missions/Care Pastor

Todd joined the Pinecrest staff in 2007 as the Missions Pastor and head of our Care Team Ministry. Todd has been a lifelong member of Pinecrest, having been a part of the church since 1978. Todd graduated from the University of Georgia in 2000 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business. After working for several years in the business world, Todd resigned his sales job in 2006 to do full-time missions work with FirstBible International, which is a ministry that translates and prints God’s Word for unreached people groups.

Currently Todd serves Pinecrest through overseeing our missions outreach and our Care Team Ministry, which seeks to reach & assimilate our guests into the ministry of Pinecrest Baptist Church.

Todd and his wife, Jody, have two beautiful children: Emma and Jackson.
